"Education programs are the key components to our strategies for ending sexual violence in Acadiana."  ~Val Senegal.

The Education Director manages Hearts of Hope's education department services and maintains effective partnerships with Acadiana area school systems, early childhood education centers and allied-professional organizations to implement prevention & intervention education programs that combat sexual violence. Training sessions and workshops are periodically provided for law enforcement, criminal justice system professionals and behavioral/mental health professionals. Education sessions are provided in the Sexual Abuse Response Center for survivors and their families. Awareness events and social change campaigns are hosted and implemented on college campuses across southwest Louisiana. Our center proudly works with the Catholic Diocese as well as other faith-based organizations to complement "Safe Environment" programs and other sexual abuse prevention efforts.
